Alright, so we're just gonna go through here and set up an event in LinkedIn. So what you do up from the homepage is just go to more, click on events. And the first thing you'll see is that you can search for events based on your keyword. Okay? So if you are interested in, you know, going to an internet marketing seminar in Los Angeles, that's where you live, you could type in internet marketing seminar in Los Angeles, you can basically also type an event based on your keyword in general. So if it's designed, if it's a content creation, if it's internet marketing, whatever it is, you can also just search for that here.

Then they also give you some events you may be interested in, and the more you build your profile and build your network and build your community. These events will get more and more, you know, targeted and niche to you. But you can also browse internet events here. So these are all the events that are going on right now. So LinkedIn basically categorizes and throws the events in. See, here's an event apart in Austin games beat all kinds of cool stuff, okay, so feel free to go through at your leisure and check all that out.

Could be another great way to connect with people. But for what we're gonna do here, we're gonna talk about creating your own event. Basically, what we'll do here is click on this yellow button, create an event. And you'll come here, and let's say that you're going to do a webinar. Okay, so the first thing you should see here is that you can host an event at a venue, or you can do a virtual event. So once you've built up a big enough network and group and there's a lot of synchronicity, you could probably start doing a venue related events in your city.

Okay, but that's kind of an advanced thing. Once you have lots of connections, okay, so as the webinar, but this is just going to be a little easier to get people to come to If you have, you know, 100 people invited to a webinar and it only, you know, five show up, which can happen on your first go around. You know, it's not as bad as if you have an actual event set up where you've invited 100 people in only five people actually physically show up, okay? So it's a little bit less risk, okay, it's a little bit higher reward too. So just name your event. So you'd say, you know, maybe internet marketing webinar.

You want to get creative, though. You want to stand out from the other events that LinkedIn is showcasing as well. But you can say here, when is it going to be? Let's say it's going to be tomorrow. It's going to be about 6pm. Los Angeles time so it's about 9pm.

At works Eastern. So you can choose your business logo, you can upload it whatever you need to do, this is step one of three. So then we'll go ahead and create event. Now here in the description, we're going to describe our event, we just want to make sure that we use our keywords here, okay? So whatever your event description is going to be, just make sure you use your keywords a couple times, don't just stuff your keywords in there, like we've talked about, actually create legitimate keywords. But in your description that's going to really talk about and use the keywords also in the title that we just created to use your keywords as well.

Industry, I already chose internet for us because internet marketing event, you can go here, you can go through here and make sure that it's got the right industry. You can also add labels and then it says this event requires registration at the event website. So here, you would click that and then you would put the actual registration link for your webinar. So where you would get that is, there's a lot of webinar services out there. I'm the one we use goto meeting is pretty expensive on a monthly basis, because it allows you to host up to 1000 people. But this one right here, any meeting.com is a great resource when you're first starting out, because you can get up to 200 attendees for free.

Now it is ad supported, but it's full featured. So you can have a webinar with 200 attendees. And then you can start upgrading on once you have more attendees. This one's for 1799 a month, you can access 25 attendees with no ads. So it's really up to you which direction you want to go starting out. But, you know, if it's a webinar where you're actually trying to deliver some content to some customers, then you may want to do the no ads.

If it's a webinar where you're just kind of setting up the meat for a lot of people. We're going to have some guest speakers on maybe show some cool stuff and then answer some questions, maybe it's not that big of a deal to you. But either way, you just sign in, you create your webinar, and then when you create your webinar, they're going to give you a link. Okay? That's your, that's your registration link. So people can go there and register and you can see leading all the way up until the event, exactly how many people are registering.
