But essentially practice and realize that intuition works best. When there's no pressure when it's kind of fun. And you engage your creativity and your imagination at the same time, you're also you also engage your intuition. I will be doing something at a workshop. For instance, I call it artificial dreaming, when you make up a story about somebody that's had fun with it, and then that other person's face turns white said, My God. You've described so many things that are true in my life.
So what fields Do you like, like you just making up something may in fact, be intuition, but takes practice to learn how to distinguish them. I teach people how to play games, and it's not being irreverent to say play games. Because if you let the intuitive mind work with the pictures, symbols and images, it's receiving is a sporting event. I was going through, we noted down cogitate. This one is a better team quarterback. And isn't that what number was bigger?
Do you see? You're meeting a co worker for breakfast? What's the first thing they'll say? You're meeting someone new? What were they working on? solving problems intuitively requires articulating what it is that you need to know.
Intuition works on a system I call intention, the power of intention. You need to articulate what it is that you want to know, formulate the question. And then acknowledge what you don't know. So that you've created a space between where you are right now, where you want to go. And then you need to be able to hold that space without filling it in with your bias, your prejudice and your habits. And if you can hold that space, intuition will fill it up with the answer very quickly.
Well, sometimes you have to wait. Sometimes it takes some patience, I must admit, but it's like electricity when you run electricity through a wire, it creates a magnetic field. And that magnetic field pulls things in from around it. Intuition is the same way you're creating an electrical charge when you set your intention of what you want to know. And then you have to wait for that magnetism to pull in the answer from sideways. And that's how intuition works.
I would encourage you to have things that have nothing to do with your problems. For me, it's gardening, it's painting. It's washing dishes. It's taking a walk. It's lying in the hammock. It's watching the leaves moving about.
Notice the things you love and feel guilty about. And I think they will distract you long enough for your intuition to speak. Now when I have to make a quick decision, I'll give you a hint. One of the things I do is I look around around the room for something geometric, I find it over here. And that geometry stills my mind. So it silences that logical left brain that's very, very talkative, and starts bringing my intuitive mind former forward, which likes the picture symbols and images.
So I'm looking at that. And I might quickly say to myself, my intuitive mind will lead me to the right answer. I just have a sigh of relief. And for me, my mind is already in the intuitive quadrant. And I know the right answer will be presented. And I have to add, remember, the intuitive mind is showing me the pictures, symbols and images.
So if I have a problem, whatever it is, and I frame it as a basic question, that I want to be aware of those pictures, symbols and images that are presented to me, one of the tricks I use is I'll have people ask a question that they would like to get the answer intuitively And then I'll have them either pick something out of their pocket if they have full pockets or out of their purse or out of the briefcase, someplace where they keep a lot of junk. And just have them pull it out randomly look at that object, and then let that object be an answer from their intuition. And it's amazing the kind of insight that people get. Now it's not that the object has the answer or has the power. But the object helps you to get out of your analytic mind and begin to think more metaphorically and symbolically, and it makes the connection with your intuition.
You see, I think intuition is always available. It's right below the surface of our conscious mind. We just need to switch a little bit of how we're thinking or looking at something and then the intuitive wisdom is right there. Mental visualization or creative visualization is also a great asset for intuitive. What I like to say to People is pretend you're Albert Einstein. And he got on a beam of light.
And in his stream, he saw himself writing a beam of light. And then he saw that everything was relative, including time. So get on a beam of light and go to the place in your life where you already made your decision. Don't look at what what the decision is forget about looking for what the decision is. First step after you're there is feel what it feels like in your body to be completely relaxed, because you've already decided, once you feel completely relaxed, then you can start looking around, see where your hands are, your feet are, how are you living out this new place where the decision has already been made. Almost always, by the time you've done those two things, you know the decision that you've been made, you're going to make so you get back on the beam of light to come back here and you bring back with you your Very relaxed body that knows that decision that you ought to make right now and have already made in your future.
Einstein imagine writing on a beam of light. Most of the people who work intuitively will tell you that in some way they learn how to become one with what they want to be intuitive about. The I've said a lot having to do with the intuition of the heart because we have so many phrases in our language that implies that the heart is intuitive. I know in my heart, I feel in my heart, seeing with the heart thinking with the heart, wisdom of the heart. And we say we reach out with a heart We take something into our heart. And that's a way of talking about the intuitive process.
You reach out and connect with something you want to be intuitive about, take it in, feel it within yourself and see what it flowers and you what kind of ideas what kind of feelings come up
