How can I tell whether this hunch that I'm getting is really something to be followed? Or is that my wishes or my fears, or my pride or vanity or something of that sort. And this is where I think the holistic aspect of intuition is important because if you start developing integrity, I think intuition works best. When you're working in a context of integrity, you want to live with integrity, then that means that you want to be true to yourself and you want yourself to fit into life in the most harmonious way. You're not in it just for yourself, but you want to fit then you can be honest with yourself, we're not perfect beings. We don't have to be perfect to work intuitively, but it helps know ourselves.
For example, if you have a decision to make about what's the best thing to do, be honest with yourself, what do you really want to do? What are you afraid you would be told? would be the right thing, you know, like, what do you What's your worst case scenario here? So you laid out on the table, get everything out on the table. This is what my hopes are. These are what my fears are.
Okay, now, I'll go in what really is the best thing. So I think you know, just being upfront with yourself really helps a lot. First, you need to be aware of what those parts of you that might get in the way. And that just takes a just close personal observation of paying attention to how we react to situations how we respond to situations what it is that pushes our buttons because those things that push our buttons are also the things are likely to stand in the way of hearing very clearly an intuitive message coming through. Well, you bring up a subject that is I've seen a lot of and especially unfortunately in corporations, and people who work in corporations, their egos are overdone that they're not likely to think that something more than they know is available for them, either from a higher source or from other people a lot of the time.
And I speak with people where they try to get something across to a high executive, and he doesn't listen. He doesn't want to listen. And there's a conflict between overtime, ego and an intuition. Well, when you're trying to figure out something for yourself, that's when the ego come in, and you'll, you know, find it really very difficult. I recommend people to start in their intuitive practice getting information about other people, because they don't have any vested interest in that. And then that way you learn how to be objective.
It's like you're standing outside yourself. And of course, take care Take a page from the book called a very rich book interviews with very rich people. And they all say I treat life like a game. You don't take it too seriously. And that may be the key to being able to step outside of yourself and to look with one. Look at what's going to work best for you.
