Okay, so another variation on that is going to deal with a shotgun now this is a little different because it doesn't have a traditional magazine like the other two rifles. Absolutely. So shotguns are a little different because when you go ahead and load your shotgun you actually can put the shells inside here and you can keep racking some shotguns you could rack eight to 10 shells. So when you're done you can just get ready to fire and you'll be shooting eight to eight to 10 shells when you're doing this. Now with Shopping the safety mechanism is actually on the top here. So all you're gonna do is flick the switch down or safe and fire your trigger.

Well obviously your trigger finger is right here, pull the trigger, and there you go put the weapon on safe. Nothing's gonna happen. So here's safe, here's fire. Now, when you're dealing with the shotgun, this handrail right here, this is how you're going to wrap the next shell that goes in there. So when you put it on fire, you pull the trigger, pull back your racket, and then the next show is going to go in and get ready to fire again. So when you have an active shooter with a shotgun, as they're coming across the areas here, their firing racket firing, by the time you come to reach them, you have a couple options here.

Number one, you want to make sure that they cannot be reckless. If they relax this again, that means another shell is gonna go in and they could shoot someone if this rack stack after they've already fired. Then you want to make sure that they cannot push the slide straight up to be able to get an Another cell into the chamber here. So when you grab the weapon, you gotta grab it tight and hold it. Now you can see right in here as he's looking straight down, he could see directly into the magazine well, and he could see if there's another round that's gonna be going in there another shells gonna go in there. So there's a few things you could do number one, with the safety right here on the top, all he's got to do is flip it up onto safe so when he grabs the weapon, keep me from sliding it and put the weapon on safe.

Now he knows I can't fire it. Another variation you can do from there is if you have an instrument in your hand on your possessions that you can go ahead and stick right in here. Go ahead and put it in there. I will not be able to slide the slide back forward. It's gonna jam my weapon. So now we've got a struggle again because I won't be able to clear this while he's holding this weapon.

We're going to do the push pull method again to get this weapon out of my hands. So torch if you will, to grab the weapon push pull it right out of my hands. From this point you scan you can actually go ahead and make the slide again, see if there's any more shells in there. Or if I'm going to engage if I have a secondary weapon, a gun or a knife like we talked about earlier, if I'm coming after him, he can engage me as he helps he see fits in that scenario. And again, can use this obstruction method with anything in this case, we use a simple pen. So keep it aware of all your surroundings, know what tools are around you, and always be prepared with the shotgun.

There's different variations of shotguns, we have the regular style shotguns, we have semi automatic shotguns. So depending on what you're using, is going to be depending on how things are gonna play out, but you still want to consider how to go ahead and grab that weapon on another hand. And again, these are just a few examples of rifles, pistols, common things that have been used in the past and that you'll come across, but each weapon is going to be different. So try and identify where those safety is and where that magazine releases on each individual weapon before you engage. We always want you to be safe and your first step is to be aware of your surroundings. Exactly.
