This time we will look at an ak 47 the principles are going to be the same, right so with your ak 47 it's a little bit different the way that the magazine goes and first we want to make sure that the weapon has been Clear. Clear magazine empty. Alright, so what we're going to do here is first let's talk about the safety on this one. The safety on this one is again, on a different side instead of being On the left side, like the thumb, on this side, it's actually on the right side, and you got to use a little bit more power to turn this thing from fire to safe. So flipping this up and down, is safe down this fire. So the other thing we want to talk about is the actual magazine, we're putting it into the aka, the magazine actually has to go in a little bit at a slight angle, and then you pop it straight down, that holds the magazine in there.

Now the magazine release is a little different, because the magazine release is now on a paddle on the underside of the trigger mechanism. So the underside of the trigger mechanism, you push this forward and you'd be able to pull the magazine out. So it's a little bit different variation as you can see. So understanding the mechanics of this ak 47 will allow you to engage an active shooter a lot better. This is why we need to know a little bit more about weapons. So I'm going to put the magazine back in here and now if you I have it on fire.

It's nephew magazine garden beer that has nothing in there. And then he's got the magazine. Now from that portion there, if you just go and rip the magazine out, you know the last shot was fired.

You're gonna have to go ahead and re engage this person right now if you want to take a weapon away from him or if you want him back Get out of the area. Now you know, you might have a secondary weapon. So this is where the advanced part starts come in, drop it, grab the weapon. And again, we're going to do the push pull method. Weapon comes right out of my hand, he can now use it as a blunt instrument to come after me, if I grab a knife or a gun and come at him, he now has something to use against me in that situation. The other portion is if we're going to go ahead and go right to the safety on this.

Now again, remember that the safety is on the right side of the weapon system, not on the left side and down as fire up is safe. So even if he can't get that magazine out of it's too much of a struggle for him, he can just go ahead and grab the weapon. Using his thumb go directly up into the safe position. From there the weapons unsafe now he still has his hands on the weapon when he's doing this. So this goes back into that positive control the weapon it's pointing down. I pulled the trigger.

Is gonna happen, he can do the push pull method and get me off this weapon. Again, assessing the situation from there not knowing what's going on. Now again, these are advanced techniques, it's a little bit more serious dealing with an AK. They have a higher caliber of around at 2762 round. And the problem is if you're scared In this scenario, don't approach them. But again, this is a life saving technique that we want to teach you here.
