This class teaches 10 meditative exercises that have been specifically developed for cancer patients and survivors of cancer.
They are based on chi kung (sometimes spelled Qi Qong) and are designed to increase chi (life force energy) and promote healing.
Each exercise is gentle and non-stressful.
They are meant to help a cancer patient or cancer survivor slowly build their strength back up and regain lost mobility. The disease can hit us hard, and none harder than cancer. The exercises are meant to help build not just physical strength bu help to restore some lost vitality and vigor.
The Chinese have been practicing chi kung and meditative movements for centuries. These exercises were developed by the Shaolin Monks and Nuns and were meant to have a healing and uplifting effect.
The exercises taught in this class trace their lineage back to Chinese chi kung as practiced in the Shaolin Temple.
Chi Kung helps to open up the airway and promote healthy blood circulation. It also helps to develop one's chi or internal life force energy. The Shaolin Monks and Nuns have been using chi kung for centuries for healing and strengthening.
You do not necessarily need to be a cancer patient or cancer survivor to learn and practice this set of chi kung meditations. Anyone can use them. However, they have been designed to be non-stressful and very gentle.
The ultimate goal is to have a healthy body, mind, and spirit that radiates brightly.
There are no special requirements other than the desire to learn and the want to help oneself get better and strengthen.
