Welcome to ultimate rummy.com I'm Joe McCall. I'm going to show you this really cool beat. First I'm going to play for you. I'm going to break it down note by note and show you how it works. What beats are played by placing the ads on the right pattern is used in all styles of music including rock, country, pop, funk jazz. By placing the ads on the ride cymbal, it gives the music a real nice lift and an uptight appeal.
In order to play these beats, you got to be thinking eighth notes. eighth notes are counted one, and two, and three, and four. And now I'm placing the ride either on the closed hi hat or ride cymbal on the ends only. So here's how it's gonna work. One and two, and three and four. And what and two and three and four and one and two, and three, and four.
Yeah. The snare drum is going to be placed on beats two and four. I'm going to coordinate the two hands together. What am I two and three, and four, and one and two and three, and, one and three, and four. This beat, I'm placing the bass drum on beats one and, and beats three and I'm going to coordinate everything together with the ride patterns snare drum and bass drums nice and slow. One and, two, and three, and four and one Now once you get comfortable with that tempo, we're going to pick up the speed a little bit.
And it's smart practice to play a couple measures on closed hi hat, couple measures, ride cymbal. Get used to switching back and forth. Something like this. One and two and three in. Little bit faster. One and two and three.
Another excellent sand or rhythmic pattern you can add to your drumming repertoire. I'm Joe McCall and Thanks for using ultimate drumming.com
