Welcome to ultimate drumming calm. I'm Jim McCall. I'm going to show you this really cool beat with the ands accented on the cymbal. First I'm going to play for you. I'm going to break it down note by note and show you how it works. What These great sounding beats are played by placing the ads on the right pattern.
Just like the beat is used in all styles of music, including rock, country, pop, funk jazz. By placing the ads on the ride cymbal, it gives the music a real nice lift and an uptight appeal. In order to play these beats, you got to be thinking eighth notes. eighth notes are counted one, and two, and three, and four. Now I'm placing the ride, either on the closed hi hat or ride cymbal on the ends only. So here's how it's gonna work.
One and two, and three, and four and one and two. And three, and four, and one, and two, and three, and four. Yeah. The snare drum is going to be placed on beats two and four. I'm going to coordinate the two hands together. One, and two, and three, and four, and one, and, three, and, one, and three, and four.
And this beat, I'm placing the bass drum on beats one and the end of two, three and in the end of four, once again, beats one and the end of two, three, and in the end of four, I'm going to coordinate it all together with a ride pattern in the snare drum nice and slow. What and to and Three and four. Now once you get comfortable with that tempo, you want to pick up the speed a little bit. It's also smart practice to try moving from the closed hi hat for the ride pattern to the ride cymbal for the ride pattern, couple measures each one and two and three A little faster. There you have it another excellent sound and rhythm pattern you can add to your drumming repertoire. I'm Joe McCall and Thanks for using ultimate drumming calm
