In this video, we're going to start to create a project using Lightworks. And so I'm assuming that everybody has opened up Lightworks and got the latest version. So if we go to the Create new project, and click on here, we need to add a name. I'm going to call this test and today's date. And then we have to choose a frame rate. And we've got a range of different options.
It can either go auto, which means that whenever you in import a video clip is on select the frame rate for you. There's also MCs rates, which will have obviously a range of different rates. And you can select if you're from the UK 25 frames per second and if you're from United States or Japan 30 frames per second and a range of other ones in between. Now for the purpose of this little task, I'm going To go for the MCs rates, and you'll see why shortly. And then we go create. And that brings us into Lightworks.
Now the top, we have a log, we have edit, and we have visual effects. And we have audio. And as each of the stages that you go through and edit starts off with, obviously logging your material and bringing them into Lightworks. The second phase is to do your editing, which is where it'll happen in here and you have your timeline and your sequence to view what you've been editing. And the effects is in this one, which you may add for titles at the end. And there's a range of different things in there and we'll go through that in a later stage.
And then at the very end, you have audio where you do your audio dubbing. Again, if your audio needs to be tweaked, this may be background noise or something that's causing problems. Then you can get, you can sort those out at that stage.
