With a general understanding of the five phases, we are now going to dive deeper into the three P's of filmmaking, pre production, production, and post production. Generally, in pre production, you would find the following positions involved, namely the writer, director, and producer. Now, of course, depending on the production, quality and status, you might have a few others on board during this phase as well, such as the DP, or the ad. But generally, these are three main positions which are mandatory to begin the pre production phase. jobs in this phase generally involve a lot of planning, organizing, and anticipatory work. So if you'd like organizing and being in command of the administrative and preparation side of things, you might consider looking for a job in this face.

Production, however, is Jerry where most of your ideas of the Hollywood job come from, and no surprise that this is also the face where most of the jobs are involved. jobs in this phase generally include a lot of execution quick thinking on your feet and can sometimes be physically demanding. So if you'd like a good workout whilst getting paid on the job, the production phase might be good for you. Now, there's usually one or two individuals in charge of their respective departments. So just be aware that you get a job in a certain department, you tend to be only allowed to do and work for that certain department for that particular production, especially if we're talking about a professional Hollywood production. So choose wisely.

Lastly, post production, which carries off from some departments that will establish in the production phase, such as visual effects and sound. However, we still have the same hierarchy of specific individuals being in charge of their areas of the particular film production. jobs in this phase are generally indoors or Institute positions where you get to enjoy the comfort of air conditioning most of the time and some form of stability in terms of the type of what you'll be doing for a while. All while you still get to enjoy, and perhaps complain about all the shots captured on set. So if you'd like sitting down, someone's in a dark room in the corner, a job in post production might be good for you. With all that being said, however, it is important to note that this is a non exhaustive list of jobs we'll be covering under positions later in this course.

But for now, think about the phase you prefer and how it might fit your personality. In fact, I'm going to invite you to stop after this video lecture and take some time out to think about which face best matches your personality. I wish phase best matches your passion.
