My name is Clay Boura and I am the author and illustrator of the Leave it to Beamer children's book series (www.leaveittobeamer.com). What you are purchasing here is a 50-60 minute virtual author school visit with me, which you can schedule using the included calendar. Unless otherwise noted, I typically do virtual author school visits Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

During my virtual school visit, I share my children's books while educating your students on the wide world of English Idioms. I explain what English Idioms are and why we use them in our speech and our writing and then I quiz the students on some common idioms. I then share 2 of my Leave it to Beamer children's books with them. At the end of the presentation, I also encouraged the students to follow their dreams since becoming a published children's author has been a dream of mine for a very long time. Then, to finish things off, I teach the students how to draw my main character, Beamer, using simple-to-follow step-by-step instructions. After the drawing lesson, as long as time permits, I will also answer any questions the students have about writing, illustrating, and becoming an author.

The entire visit/presentation takes approximately 50-60 minutes and is geared towards students from kindergarten up to 4th/5th grades.

I will also e-mail you coloring pages as well as a few Leave it to Beamer worksheets for a little extra idiom-inspired fun for your students. We can also decide which virtual presentation method works best for you and your students. I am quite flexible and can work with Zoom, Google Meets, Facetime, or whatever platform you prefer.
