Whether your kids have never programmed earlier or have been coding for a while, this is a coding program for kids of all ages and levels.
In this class, I expose students to the building blocks of coding using the Python programming language. Python is an intuitive, easy-to-learn programming language that allows everyone – even kids – to build fully functional computer programs for a number of different tasks.
I cover the following topics in my classes:
1. ProgrammingLogic: Kids learn the fundamentals of coding. They learn to decompose, abstract, and modularize. 2. Input and Output: Kids learn interfaces to enter data and view program outputs. 3. Functions: Kids learn about the fundamental building blocks of programs. 4. Applications: A variety of projects including games, image manipulation, and simulations are used to help develop programming skills and thought. 5. Debugging: I teach kids a systematic approach to solving problems with their code.
The class includes twice a week of live instructor-led training. On successful completion of the different levels of the class, students will receive a STEM-accredited certificate.
