Algorithmic Problem Solving is a tutorial-style course, where the focus is on problem-solving. A set of problems will be considered, We will discuss algorithms and data structures for solving these problems. The course will be largely taught in a programming language-independent fashion. However, besides pseudocode, Python code snippets will be presented.

This is a tutorial-style course with a focus on problem-solving using efficient algorithms and data structures. The course will be useful for those preparing for software interviews since algorithms and data structure design often form a core part of such interviews. Moreover, students with a general interest in algorithms, data structures, and programming and interested in honing their problem-solving skills, will also find this course useful.
Requirements
You should have some background in algorithms, data structures, and programming is expected.
The course will be largely taught in a language-independent way. However, besides pseudocode, Python code snippets will be presented.
This is a problem-solving course and basic theory typically taught in an undergraduate algorithms course will not be covered. Students should have access to a standard textbook in algorithms. We recommend Introduction to Algorithms by Cormen, Leiserson, Rivest, and Stein.
