Modern humans live in a world where we survive, by following manmade rules. We are not free to survive the way we evolved to live—by being true to how we really feel, in our relationships with the people around us.
Human knowledge has produced amazing technological progress. But our reliance on knowledge, for survival—rather than on feelings, as Nature designed us—has also resulted in social isolation so severe and widespread that we are literally being robbed of the experience of being alive. All too often, we feel like empty shells, as a result of having to act and speak in contradiction to how we really feel, in order to succeed in our artificially contrived “reality.”
We each came into this world equipped with our own guiding wisdom, our inborn GPS—literally, Nature’s map of life on earth. This wisdom expresses itself exclusively through emotions, providing the inspiration for our every action and reaction to each moment of life. Only by being true to our innate feelings can we experience life, as Nature intended, by facing life’s uncertainties, together, as members of unbreakable social bonds.
Join us as we discuss how real and complete life would be if we were living by our emotional intelligence, rather than rules and plans. Our discussions will be sparked by a variety of concepts presented in the book, Rediscovering the Wisdom of Human Nature, which reveals how civilization has so transformed the human way of life that humanity now faces myriad difficulties and uncertainties ranging from emotional disorders to habitat destruction.
The intent of the class isn’t to learn how to live a better life, within the current paradigm, but to learn—and understand—the real human life that evolution has continuously honed, for millennia, but which modern life denies to us. We will learn what’s required to again participate in the way of life that is real beyond measure, indeed, so real that our present concern about life’s purpose would cease to exist. When free to honor our innate feelings in our relationships with the people around us, we know why we are here. But the answer to why we are here cannot be described. It can only be experienced.

The following quote is from a note that a reader sent to a friend, describing her reactions, after reading the book:
"Have you ever felt like so much of our world doesn’t feel right? If so, then Rediscovering the Wisdom of Human Nature is a must-read for you. I’m almost speechless. It's like the author tapped into everything that I know and feel in my bones is wrong about how we live in the modern world and put it into words. Essentially, it’s our lack of sisterhoods and brotherhoods that is robbing us of our spiritual fulfillment."
