It's okay to make mistakes, social skills stories, and activities were written to help students who have a difficult time when they make even a small mistake, or what they perceive as a mistake. 

Social Skills Stories use clear, concise language to break down information into small, explicit steps that help children understand what they should or should not do in a given situation.  Stories are a great way to teach important skills to children who are struggling to understand a particular social concept such as handling mistakes.

Skill Builders support a story by further teaching the targeted social skill(s) with one or more follow-up activities and/or visual supports. 

These activities and visual supports will help your students build the skills they need, in order to use the information presented in the story more successfully.
