Boura Boura Books was created by myself, Clay Boura, published author and illustrator of the "Leave it to Beamer" children's book series. My books focus on helping to explain the meanings behind English idioms (or figures of speech) from a young child's perspective. In each one of my children's books, my main character Beamer (a character I created when I was 12 years old) hears someone utter a strange phrase, or an English idiom. Since Beamer is young and doesn't understand idioms, he quickly becomes very confused. So then Beamer dreams up a fun, adventurous, entertaining story to help explain why HE thinks someone would say such a silly thing. And at the end of each story, Beamer awakens to learn the REAL meaning behind the idiom. With a deep love and passion for the arts and with nearly 10 years of experience writing, illustrating and publishing children's books, my goal is to not only share my knowledge and passion with others, but also to help motivate others to follow their dreams as I have done.
