Dr. Carolyn Hanesworth is a professional social worker with 27 years of experience serving individuals and families experiencing chronic poverty, mental illness, and housing loss. Her various roles have included caseworker, administrator, professor, psychotherapist, supervisor, researcher, author and consultant. Along with her colleagues at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College/City University of New York, Dr. Hanesworth directed a pilot study adapting Critical Time Intervention for Rapid Rehousing across the state of Connecticut in 2016. Together with Dr. Daniel Herman and Sarah Conover, she has co-authored two book chapters on Critical Time Intervention, as well as the "CTI Toolkit," consisting of an updated CTI manual and program documentation, which is now used by certified trainers across the United States. Dr. Hanesworth draws from her experiences in the field and academia in all her trainings- including the creation of this self guided certified CTI training course.
