I am a co-founder and Executive Director of Arts Unity Movement, a non-profit organization that focuses on using the arts for healing. Arts Unity Movement (AUM) provides inspiring dance performances, community events and expressive arts workshops that heal individuals and unite communities. We incorporate mindful approaches and self-expression in a variety of unique programs that incorporate the Expressive Arts Therapies (dance/movement, art, drama, music), meditation & guided visualization techniques, and art-based discussion groups, to address issues and instigate change. I provide art therapy and mindfulness services to incarcerated youth, people in recovery, children at risk as well as grief and loss and creative recovery groups and workshops for mental health and addiction recovery professionals.  I live in a redwood forest in Northern California with my husband and enjoy hiking, cooking and creative activities. I have exhibited art and photography, performed music professionally and have poems published in six poetry collections.
