Common Knowledge Trust is a New Zealand registered not-for-profit via New Zealand Charities Services (CC24400). We are committed to a societal message that it's normal and natural in pregnancy that all expectant fathers and mothers self-learn birth and birth-coaching skills then use those skills to work through the activity of birthing their baby. Hundreds of fathers and mothers equally developed all these birth skills in the early 1970s and these skills have been used in every type of birth and globally in every type of health system. These skills are practical and effective. Consider starting learning these skills from 24 weeks of pregnancy onwards. The very best way to work through each course is to pick the skills a pregnant woman wants to learn for herself and her partner wants to learn from him/her self. Then teach each other what you've learned. 100% of pregnant women will give birth 100% of the time one way or another. Women birth better when they use skills to cope, manage, work through, deal with, handle, stay on top of, and feel in control. As a man, father, partner, husband then help her prepare her body in the privacy of your own home. If you're going to be at the birth, then learn skills to help her cope and manage well.
