Colin Crooks MBE, is a serial social entrepreneur, lecturer and business coach.  He understands what it's like to start and run a small business. He’s run 5 award winning social enterprises which together have employed more than 1,000 long-term unemployed people.  One of these, Green-Works gained the Queens Award for Enterprise; Sustainable Development. In 2012 he wrote his first book ‘How to Make a Million Jobs, a charter for social enterprise’. On the back of that he founded a new social enterprise, Tree Shepherd, which trained & supported hundreds of disadvantaged people to start their own business. In 2019 Colin was awarded an MBE for services to disadvantaged people and the environment. He currently supports multiple micro and small businesses as a business coach, delivers the UK governments Help to Grow programme for business, hosts his own business podcast called Stressing Values and is writing a second book designed to help small businesses grow less stressfully.
