Hello, My name is Hans Fleurimont. I was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1985 where and I grew up with an appreciation for the visual arts. I am currently a graphic artist who has become a teacher & mentor, sharing my knowledge and experience to the world. I first started drawing comic book heroes in middle school and from there I couldn't stop. At the age of 17, I joined the United States Army in November 2004. I served for three years and ten months and specialized in field artillery as a forward observer. I was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington and I did one 15 month tour in Iraq. After I left the service in September 2008 I had aspirations of starting my own business. I created a start-up called "Go-Getter Enterprises". It was a company that focused on event planning and coordinating parties. My first try, as an entrepreneur didn’t work out as I expected simply because there was a HUGH learning curve and I didn't have have the skills I needed as an entrepreneur and I ended up closing the business due to a lack of revenue. I didn’t let this failure discourage me from my goal to become a successful entrepreneur. My failure became a steppingstone and a learning experience for what not to do when starting your first business. In April 2009 he decided to go back home to New York City in order to find my center and cope with the struggles of being a returning combat veteran with no job and only a high school diploma. Around this time I was separated from my then girlfriend (now my wife) and my one-year-old daughter. It took me nearly two years of living at home in my mothers’ basement to rediscover my purpose and to solidify my personal faith in God and my view of the world.  In April 2010 I began going to school at The Art Institute of New York City, where I studied to be a graphic designer. While I was in college for graphic design, I rediscovered my love for visual art. I started to experiment on the different kind of ways to use words as something visually appealing and innovative. Now a lot of my artwork and designs revolves around the use of typography or hand lettering. I also was able to cultivate my illustration skills and overall creative process. So far in my career as a graphic designer, I've worked on over 200 design projects and I've lead the art direction for several plus events and lectures. Over the yearsI have worked with over a hundred different partners and clients, and mentored a several students and my design skills are very well refined and high-leveled. Today, I am a husband and a father of two children. I am an avid kung-fu practitioner, a coach, a teacher, a mentor, a public speaker and I continue my work as a senior graphic designer in the field of higher education at Pacific Lutheran University. I have a passion for teaching and helping others learn how to better themselves. I have acquired many skills that I cultivated into high-levels and I am now trying to teach those skills to others. I continue to level myself up everyday and I give all thanks for my success to the God of Truth and to Jesus Christ.
