I'm an enthusiastic person, always curious about life and its various dimensions. As a filmmaker/documentary maker, i've participated in approximately 40/50 film festivals. I've been awarded for the best medium lenght film at the main Brazilian/South American Human rights film festival (6a Mostra de Cinema e Direitos Humanos na América do Sul),with the documentary "Barras e Barreiras". The documentary was purchased by the broadcaster "TV Brasil" and screened various times during one year and a half. Also, i earned a merit award for a documentary about environmental issues. Between the events where my productions have been screened, i have to mention "It's all true", international documentary film festival (2011). The documentary trough which i participated to that festuval, along with Thaíse Carvalho (co-director), was also screened in Milan (Italy), at the Cinema Gnomo (during an event about Brazilian cinema) and in Sausalito (California), at the Bay Model (Tiburon film society). Finally, my home-made, no-budget, most of them being one-man-crew productions, have been screened in the following countries: Brazil, Italy, USA, Mexico, Greece and Zazibar (Tanzania), and through culture unplugged i reached an international/global audience (through this link you can watch some of my documentaries: www.cultureunplugged.com/storyteller/tanech).
I'm also a professional photographer and professor (i've been teaching Photography and studio lighting at a Post-graduation course in Recife, Brazil).
During my post-graduation courses i've been teaching (as an assistant): videomaking, at the Department of Digital Media of the Federal University of Paraiba, Brazil (during the Master degree, in 2015) and "Film aesthetics" and "film criticism", at the Nudoc/Comunication, a department of the same university (during my PHD course). Also, i've been teaching workshops and brief courses during academic conferences and events.
