I travel the world helping people learn how to respond to traumatic events (abuse, neglect, natural disaster, medical crises, and more). I've researched the key issues in healing from trauma that can be taught, and 20 years of helping people master them while practicing these same skills myself has changed lives, mine included. As a person with "lived experience" and as an adjunct instructor in Psychiatry at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington DC, I make a difference. People who learn the skills we teach and who apply them in everyday life have more strength, more hope, more compassion. The Trauma-Informed Academy has a comnbination of video, print, and webinar courses, all driven by my skills in education and instructional design. --Elizabeth Power, M.Ed.
