My name is Kip Twitchell, and I am the original finsysvlogger–I’m sure I was the first person to vlog about financial systems. I have 30 years of experience in financial systems and financial reporting, over 25 years of that in consulting. I have constructed financial and big financial data analytical and financial systems for Fortune 500 companies and Global Banks. I have consulted at 12 of the top 25 banks in the world. I am a Certified Public Accountant in the US and have a passion about business events-based reporting and financial systems I blog about financial systems at ledgerlearning.com. I have authored two books: “Balancing Act: A Practical Approach to Business Event Based Insights” (2010), and “Metric Engine: Reinventing the Data Supply Chains for Business” (2015). My weekly vlog, “Conversations with Kip,” has run continuously since April 2016 and contains scores of videos, which have thousands of views. I began my career with Price Waterhouse , which became PricewaterhouseCoopers and PwC consulting in 1998. PwC Consulting was acquired by IBM in 2002. I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah majoring in accounting with a masters of accountancy emphasizing information systems–consulting. Having grown up in Salt Lake City and Ogden Utah, I now live in Dallas, Texas and am the proud husband to my wife Kari, and the father of three daughters and a son.
