I have been working on it security for more than six years, including biggest tech companies audit and banks. DDoS attacks are becoming bigger concern day by day because the attackers have started to exploit unprotected IoT devices for using in our DDoS attacks. For example, in 2018, GitHub was hit by the largest distributed denial of service attack, which involves the one point 35 terabit per second attack against the site. But how does it all happen?
What does the attacker secret for performing well, it's creative and strong DDoS attacks, which attack vectors do they use? And most importantly, what are the efficient methods to mitigate such attacks? I will go through all the technical aspects of DDoS attacks by following TCP IP model structure, I will explain you all the common DDoS attack vectors, their detection and mitigation methods per layer. Please let me state that this is not a demonstration course, we will not be performing DDoS attacks, nor will we be working on real networks or applications oviously I will show you real world examples to help you to understand everything comprehensively, but we will not be working on real applications in this course.
