Chapter zero ServiceNow introduction and instance request. What is ServiceNow ServiceNow is a cloud based service management tool that enables IT administrators to effectively manage it requests in a real time collaborative environment. It supports service management for different business units, namely it Human Resources security, software development, customer service, field service, marketing, finance, etc, etc. It easily integrates with other tools, and also provides an app store for extended capabilities. Steps To request a ServiceNow instance. Step one, go to developer dot ServiceNow COMM And click Register.

Provide the details such as your name, the email id, the username, the password and the capture information. Step two You get the confirmation email asking to validate your account validated by clicking the verify Email button. Step three. Once you're verified, successfully signed into the ServiceNow account with the username and the password that you provided in the step one. Step four, scroll down and accept the ServiceNow agreement. Step five, go to manage and then choose the option called instance to request an instance.

That's how it is going to look like. Step six, provide a reason to request for instance, a possible reason could be to understand how the ServiceNow platform works and get some hands on experience. This usually works. Step seven. Start with the London or Kingston instances since they are readily available and provide all necessary features that We'll be using in this tutorial. The credentials for the new instance will be displayed somehow like this.

Step eight, save the URL and the credentials for future logins. Access the URL, and enter generated credentials to access the requested ServiceNow instance.
