1) A Biomimicry Journal* is required for teachers, students, and other course participants to record observations, drawings, hypotheses, research, and ideas.

2) Pencil(s) - No. 2 (HB) minimum and softer art pencils (4B if you added only one), eraser, and sharpener

3) Colored pencils, markers, or pens can be used for finished drawings (optional)

4) iPhone, iPad, or digital camera

*Teachers - Recommendation - Check with your school's art department. The Journal should have heavier paper suitable for sketches and notes using pencils, pens, or markers.  Standard 8x11” notebook paper is only 15 lb thickness. A 65 lb (96 gsm) paper is preferable for sketching. Art paper can be cut into 81/2 x 11 size and comb-bound with a cardboard back and heavier paper cover.
