One of my favorite websites of all time, is the old maps available on the National Library Scotland website. The first series of Ordnance Survey maps covering the whole of the UK, was published in the 1880s. And the National Library of Scotland have digitized all of these maps, and also the latest series of various maps through to the 1960s. And they've made them available to the public. This is a fantastic resource. There are also some older maps for specific towns and areas available on the National Library of Scotland website.
And it's a great resource to explore an area over time. In this section, we review the range of maps available on the National Library of Scotland websites. Enjoy. It's a really great site.
