When you're ready to start setting up your DJI Ronin s, you're going to first attach the plates to the camera that you're going to use. And then we're going to mountain balance our camera on to the ronin gimbal. Now, for me, this was probably one of the points that I struggle with the most because a lot of the video tutorials on the internet are not very effective for me. So let's get started. The tools that you will need are obviously your camera, your rolling kit, and it's useful to have a good coin. Okay, so this part is m four.
And what you want to do is just attach it to the threading underneath. So you can start off by screwing it in halfway. Okay, so I have the plate screwed on halfway. And now I'm going to use a coin just to make sure that it's tight. Next, you want to mount this longer plates here. This is the RS 002.
And you can actually look at the arrow on this plate, it should be facing the lens. So just find a point to mounted on, you can slide the screw to find a good spot. So there's two mounting points, I'm going to choose the one closest to the lens Again, screw that in with your finger or a screwdriver. And then you can use a coin to tighten it. Okay, so mine is gonna look like that. Notice there's a ruler on the sides.
So it's very flexible for a variety of setups. But the actual payload for the ronin S is about 3.4 kilos, so make sure that you know how much your body in lens and additional accessories weigh. And also factor in that these plates do carry some weight as well. Okay, so we got those two plates on there. Now the last parts is lens support. So it consists of this little guy here and a screw.
So simply just attach it on here, and then you can just manually screwed on. You don't want it too tight otherwise you won't be able to change your focal length if you have a zoom lens. But if you have a prime lens and it doesn't matter, this is just to support the lens, especially the longer lenses if they're going to be moving around a lot like this, if you're using the the gimbal for quick, quick movements. So there we go. So we have a pretty tight fit with the mounting plate. And now we've got to take the ronin out
