Lubrication Management - Module 4

What challenges are you facing?

Are you facing challenges like:

  • Frequent equipment downtime.
  • Equipment failure.
  • Improper lubrication practices.
  • Increased maintenance budget.
  • Poor maintenance culture.
What will you learn in this course?

You have come to the right place. Our training exposes professionals to theory and practical knowledge at entry or higher levels, thereby improving their engineering skills. This course trains team members and adds value by educating and building confidence. It helps them understand what to focus on reliability and cost reduction.

The students can move away from the "old school" methods of vague, non-specific lubrication procedures and implement an excellent lubrication program in any industrial workplace. This training is designed to provide lubrication analysts, condition monitoring experts, and predictive maintenance specialists with a greater understanding of fundamental concepts of lubrication.

Course content: In this course, we will be reviewing in detail the following topics on the storage and management of lubricants.

  • What is a proper lubricant receiving procedure?
  • What are the features and drawbacks of steel drums and plastic drums?
  • What are proper indoor and outdoor drum storage methods?
  • What are the features of a properly organized storage room and locker?
  • What are the health risks associated with common lubricants?
  • What is the best use of sealable and reusable top-up containers?
  • What is the purpose of a lubricant Identification System (LIS)?

Machinery Modifications:

  • What are some accessory options for inspection, sampling, contamination control, lubrication, and instrumentation?
  • How is the proper placement of the accessories on the machine determined?

Field Inspections and basic machine care:

  • What are common field tests and what do they test for?
  • What are common changes to watch for that indicate problems or contamination when visually inspecting oil?
  • What are some other methods of inspecting oil using sound, touch, and smell?

Benefits:

  • Skilled workers
  • Increased equipment uptime and availability
  • Best practices for lubrication management
  • Maintenance culture change

Results:

  • The results of these pieces of training impact key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • The best practices, various methodology, case studies, etc discussed in this training will allow you to build a solid foundation for world-class lubrication if they are practiced and implemented by you.
This course is not for USA, Canada, and European audiences/students.
