This course is intended to provide a sound foundation in aerodynamics theory and flight stability principles applied to unmanned aircraft systems (UAVs). The application of theoretical aerodynamics in this course serves to provide solutions to aerodynamic design problems formulated in unmanned aircraft systems Engineering.
Week 1: Introduction; Fundamentals of aerodynamics.
Week 9: Adaptive wing technology and aeroelasticity.
Week 10: Rotorcraft aerodynamics.
Week 11: CFD fundamentals.
Week 12: Automated flight stability.
A basic understanding of aerodynamic principles and aerospace engineering would help in the understanding of the material of this course, but it is not essential.
