Okay, so now we're in Adobe After Effects, and I'm going to be creating a new composition. So for the dimensions, I'm setting it as 1080 by 1080. Because the image or the video is going to be a square, the frame rates, I've set it at 15 frame rates per second, because I want it to have that retro low frame rates feel to the video, as it is a retro album cover. And for the duration, I've set it up for seconds, because for these parallax effects, you generally want it to be quite short, I found three to five seconds to be quite optimal. So press OK. And the next thing to do is to import our Photoshop file. So you click File Import File again, click on our Photoshop file and the most important thing is to Select composition retain layer size, where the imports as options here, compress imports.
And you should make sure editable Layer Styles is selected and press. Ok. So now you see our Photoshop file layers here on the left hand side on the project tab, or wherever your projects app is docked. And now what we're going to do is select all these layers, indicated by a blue Photoshop layer, selecting them and then drag it into our composition we just created. And the next thing to do is to separate it, separate them into their appropriate layers. And the next thing to do is to import our Photoshop file into After Effects.
So we do that by going file Import and file again, click out Photoshop file. And the most important thing here is where it says important, choose the composition option and click Import. And editable layer style is selected here, which is okay. So press OK. And now you see our, our Photoshop file, and its corresponding layers here on the project tab. And now what we're going to do is select all of these Photoshop layers here, ignoring the composition in between and the layers indicated by the blue Photoshop icon here and we're going to be driving them into the composition we made earlier. And the next step to do is to rearrange the layers into their correct layer order.
So for example, the background layer should be at the bottom like this. zoom in a little bit so we can see better. You can see some of our shadow layers, not correct. So we're going to drag the shadow layer here behind Ringo, pull shadow layer behind pour and so on and so forth. And also work on soupy making sure the arm layer is above the body layer as well. like this and everything else looks right
