Water can have many effects on exterior lighting design, and is always enhanced by adding light. It can have many effects on settings from a small pond in a gun to a huge fountain in a public square. It enhances when adding loss light fittings need to be waterproof though. When water is still it is reflective just as a mirror. So at nighttime it can act as an accentuating feature. When water is moving, it sparkles and can create a dynamic feature to add in any external design.

This kind of water is best left as a reflective pool at night. When lighting moving water, light can be placed in or around the spouse to illuminate the flow and reflection. In larger bodies of clear water, such as swimming pool lots can make it appear to glow as life is reflected and refracted in a diffused manner.
