Here's one of my favorite tips I've ever learned for the Macintosh. What it is, instead of typing just dictating my whatever I want to type, it's also on the iPhone in the iPad, there's a little microphone first you have to turn on dictation. But you have to do this once only. And you're done. You go into your apple in the far left corner, you go into System Preferences. And then in System Preferences, you go into dictation and speech.
And you just make sure it's turned on. I have mine set to the Fn key twice the Fn key is the bottom left hand corner key. You just double click the Fn key, you speak your punctuation. So if there's a new line, you have to say new line, or if there's a period comma, you add those and then you double click the Fn key to stop. Only do like a short paragraph at a time. If you do like these long paragraphs, it's never going to get it so just speak A couple short sentences each time so it goes like this.
Hi, comma, new line. Please tell everyone the meeting has been changed to three o'clock today. Period. I hope you can all make it period. New Line best comma, new line Elaine. And there it is.
So it's really quite accurate you can go in and edit it. But it's really fantastic. This is the same thing as the microphone on the keyboard for the iPad in the iPhone. Your home plate is to dictate a letter or an email, whether it be on your computer, iPhone or iPad, and thanks for watching.
