Alright, here's one of my favorite Siri things is having Siri read Kindle books to me. So here's how Siri reads a Kindle book to you, you click on Kindle. Then click on the book you want to have her read. It may take a second to download if you haven't, then go to the page where you want to have her start reading. Otherwise, she's going to be reading the table of contents. Let's have series start reading here, hold down the home button and say, Siri, turn on voiceover Okay, I turned on voiceover.
Now what you do is you tap the home button once. And there you are back into your Kindle. Two fingers down for continuous reading, double tap and hold to select text. Chapter One, stop, look, listen, we live in the lap of now. You know What's so funny? I did nothing and she just started to read to me.
You know, that usually doesn't happen. You're supposed to take your two fingers, swipe them down the screen and then she'll start reading Siri turn on voiceover Okay, I turned on voiceover double tap for menu. Chapter One, stop, look, listen, we live in the lap of immense intelligence, Ralph Waldo Emerson stop. It's funny because sometimes that will happen. And then if it doesn't, on rare occasion, you need to press the home button down three times. But quickly press it down and then swipe to finger down the page on the screen and she'll start reading.
And she'll also keep reading the whole way through like she'll turn the page herself and keep reading. See, so she just changes it herself. Okay, now in order for her to stop reading, simply press down on the Home button. It seems to them. Siri, turn off voiceover Okay, I turned off voiceover and you're done. That's it.
Now one thing it's really important to remember Remember to turn off voiceover when you're done because otherwise, sometimes your device will shut off. And when it does, it'll, she'll just be telling you everything on the screen like tap to open, tap to open, tap to open, you can't get anything going. So if that happens, if you get in a pinch, just push down the home button and say, Siri, turn off voiceover and you're good to go. You'll really love this one. And one last thing, you can change how fast or slow Siri speaks to you, what you do is you go into the settings, then click general. Accessibility, voiceover and right here, you can make it slower or faster.
So toward the turtle obviously is slower and the other way is faster. So that way, you can play around with it and then say, Tell her to turn on voiceover and have her read something and see if it's too fast or too slow. Your home play is to practice having Siri read a Kindle book to you and experiment with the different paces so have fun with it and I'll see you on the next video.
