Hi, everyone, and welcome back to your empowerment plan. We're at day two. So yesterday we've got some tools and strategies for moving forward. And as you're seeing from the lesson today and the worksheet, it's about listening. And I'll explain why. When we're in our thriver and wise warrior woman space here, sometimes you know, you can get a headache and achy or they're a twinge somewhere, and often, and it's quite normal.
Were right back into that cancer patient person, that cancer patient mindset. So, we want to deal with that. And I spent years trying to find a way to shift that mindset away from that. So every time there was a twinge or a headache, I'm not right back into that cancer patient person. So I found responding instead of reacting to be the key. And that's why we thought, spiritual out of luck.
Worksheet where, you know, there's just several cues on how to respond instead of react. And it's really beneficial. It's really beneficial. Because staying out of that cancer patient mindset, I'll give you an experience I had recently, a monk came up quite a bit of a lump on my shoulder. And because I've been practicing this for years, actually, I went into my responsive mind instead of my reactive mind. And so previously, when I would have gone into my reactive mind, I've got this clump, it would have been panic, I would have been back there in that cancer patient mindset and become anxious and fearful.
But instead, because I've been practicing this, my responsive mind came to the fore. And I just thought, Well, I better do so. Something about that, I'll say about that. So I was hoping to make a doctor's appointment, have an X ray, everything was fine, nothing to worry about at all. Now, just some healing on it and it's already gone down. So that's the difference.
It's a big difference. It's a big benefit when we can learn to respond, instead of react. and simple way to learn to do it with our bodies is to learn to do listening first. It's like a stepping stone to be able to get to that responsive mind towards our bodies instead of that reactive mind. So if you start with the listing practice, just going through those questions, it'll help your mind shift to more responsiveness instead of being reactive, and then you won't have to deal with the fear and with that anxiety Give it a go. And it's a practice, practice.
It's fun. It's a practice, practice, practice. So as with a few things that we really want to take on, and give ourselves the best chance moving forward. So tomorrow we're going to move into something that follows on from this and that's gratitude and it's a new way of practicing gratitude. Very deep way. Very results orientated way of practicing gratitude.
So I hope to see you then. So enjoy and I'll see you tomorrow. Bye for now.
