Congratulations, you did it, you just completed the 10 steps to getting hired with linked in. And now you have a beautiful, customized and optimized LinkedIn profile that has positioned you to be seen and be visible by hiring managers, recruiters and your future bosses for those specific positions that you are interested in. So no more pining and moaning and groaning or complaining that LinkedIn does not work. It works if you know how to work it. And now you have the insider information and you have executed these 10 steps to optimize your LinkedIn profile. But is this the end?

No way. This is just the beginning. So let me walk you through. Now with your optimized profile, what it is you need to do in order to start attracting those job opportunities to you. Now the all these 10 steps that you've just executed, they are based on a two prong approach. The first approach is optimization.

We need to get your profile visible, get it in front of the right eyes. Just being on LinkedIn is not enough. LinkedIn is a crowded marketplace. There are over 650 million people on LinkedIn. Now that's good and bad. It's good because amongst those 650 million our recruiters, headhunters, hiring managers, HR people and your future bosses.

It's bad because there is competition for you. There are other people with practically the same experience education and the same goals and objectives. They have their eyes on the same jobs as you do, and it's a competitive marketplace. So you need to be visible. That's optimizing your LinkedIn profile, understanding SEO. And you also need to understand human psychology in order to grab the attention of those recruiters and hiring managers and draw them into your profile, to engage them and want them to get them to read more and even reach out to you with job opportunities.

So these 10 steps in the get hired with LinkedIn are based on SEO and making your more visible and human psychology grabbing the attention of your target audience. Now, next thing that you need to focus on is you want to make sure that whatever job you are seeking and you want to be approached for you are in search. keywords throughout your profile, they should be in your headline, they should be in your summary, they should be in your work experience. These keywords are what make you come up in the search results. If you don't have the right keywords, it doesn't matter how well educated you are whether you have the right qualifications, the years of experience. Without keywords, you might show up, but you will show up maybe on page 20 of search results.

And what the research shows is recruiters hiring managers on average, only look at the first 20 to 25 profiles that come in their search results. The next thing that you want to focus on is you want to start connecting with the right people. Now you have a profile that is beautiful, it's optimized, it's attractive, you can confidently go out there and start sending connection rates. Question, who should you connect with? You need to start connecting with HR managers, recruiters, headhunters and potential future bosses, right? These are the decision makers.

And how do you connect with them? Well, all you have to do is come to the search bar, select the people option and start entering the titles for the people you want to connect with. For example, if I want to connect with HR managers, right, I'm just going to type the title. And I want to connect with HR managers who are not my first because I'm already connected to them, but who are my second degree connections? And second degree connection is someone who is connected to one of your first degree connections but not directly connected to you. Secondary connections are you get A free opportunity to send a connection request to them.

So why not utilize it? start connecting with HR managers, recruiters, headhunters, recruitment consultants, recruitment managers for positions that you are interested in particularly, you can even filter through and look up organizations that you are interested in. So if you want to find someone who maybe works in Unilever, right, we can even select that. And we can select HR or put it into our search bar HR manager and click enter. So anyone who has the title of HR manager and works at Unilever, and as your secondary connection is going to show up here, and all you need to do to connect with them is click Connect. Okay, LinkedIn is going to tell you to customize, it's a good idea to send them a personal message, and why you want to connect and inviting them to connect.

Don't do that. Just click Send Now, why? Because your profile is perfectly positioning you to attract these people and encourage them to accept your connection requests. So send out, just click Connect and send now, okay, and every day, I want you to add 10 people to your network by sending 10 connection requests every single day. But do not send more than 10 connection requests. Why is that?

It's because if you send too many connection requests, and then some of those people, they don't accept in and instead, they click I do not know this person. Too many. I do not know can get you blacklisted on LinkedIn. And LinkedIn can freeze your LinkedIn account from 24 hours to even up to seven days and you don't want that to happen. So 10 connection requests every single day, send it to HR people send it to recruitment managers, headhunters, hiring consultants, recruitment consultants. Why do you want to increase your network with these types of people is because most HR people and recruiters who are using LinkedIn to source candidates, use the free platform.

And when you use the free platform, you can only see and send connection requests or reach out to those people who you are a primary connection with a first degree connection, a secondary connection and a tertiary connection. If you are Not in those first three layers of connection. Recruiters, hiring managers, HR people will not see you, and they will not be able to contact you. So you want to add as many people as you can into your these three layers of connections around you. So every day send out 10 connection requests. But there's one more thing you need to do.

You want to join LinkedIn groups. All right? don't join LinkedIn groups, particularly for your field or industry. For example, if you're an engineer and you want to join groups that engineers hang out in, it's not gonna do you any good in terms of finding your dream job. You want to join groups where your target audience is hanging out in? Where are all the HR people, where are all the recruiters, where are all the hiring managers.

Those are the groups you also want to be in. And why. Well, the interesting thing about LinkedIn is when You are in a group with someone, even if they're not your first, second or third degree connection, you can send fellow group members connection requests. All right. So this is a brilliant way for you to connect with and get seen by your target audience. Have a strong pool of HR people and recruiters and hiring managers who potentially are holding your dream job opportunity in their hands.

So when you implement these 10 steps of the get hired with LinkedIn, you are going to get your profile appearing in the top 20 to 25 results. And not only are you going to show up in results, when a hiring manager or recruiter checks your profile out, you're going to be using psychology right your photo, your background picture your headline, the way you have structured your sizzling psychographic summary is going to wow them grab their eyeballs and draw them into your profile and engage them and motivate them to reach out to you.
