Lean is a management philosophy inspired by the concept of Kaizen. And Kaizen means continuous improvement. The ultimate aim is to improve the company profit by improving quality and decreasing costs. In short, Link consists of a set of tools that decrease defect, defect or waste is what the customer is not willing to pay for. In other words, this is everything that causes us stress at work. The defect or waste can be caused by uneven distribution of workload, difficult or confusing working instructions, quality problems, inefficient flow of a process, ineffective support or other processes that can be potentially employed.

In order to come up with and also implement a lean initiative successfully, the first step is to introduce lean culture in the company. This will guarantee that lean will be used in the long term for improving quality. We are going to talk about five topics that currently covered the lean method, you can benchmark for yourselves how your organization is performing in these five areas. The first one is quality in stable processes. Step one of the journey often means to be ready to invest in quality. Having stable processes with low variations and solid product design lead to decrease in waste caused by defect.

Also, there is less need to reduce product if there are defect free and less need to keep stock which is additional cost for the business. There are some tools that we can use in order to ensure quality of our processes jidoka This is a methodology in which quality control is automated and built into the work of the machines. This means automated inspection of all products jidoka is different from the traditional quality control that happens after a product is produced, which makes it impossible to fix the defect or the process before that with the doctor, if the inspection shows that there is a defect in the production line, the whole line stops and the defect is eliminate. Baku yoky This refers to processes which are designed to avoid the possibility of making mistakes. That is a mistake proof process standard operating procedures This means agreement on a standard method of Performing repetitive tasks and then carrying out what has been agreed by a hearing to a standard will reduce any variation in quality and cycle times and the task of improvement can begin.

The next one is called control quantities or just in time. Once the level of quality has been stabilized, the next step is to control how much to produce at any given time. This is particularly effective when the production process has over capacity in relation to market demand, just in time does not mean the ability to deliver everything to the customer at all times. Instead, the aim of lean is to be able to respond to fluctuating demand with reasonable delivery policy buffers and a smooth rate of production. tools to achieve just in time are Production and the Kanban system and balanced wise and now let's look at poor production and the Kanban system. with them, production takes place to meet a genuine need, and only if the next stage in the process can receive the goods.

Consider how new burgers are only assembled at the fast food outlet when the level of ready made burgers has reached a certain level. The next one is balanced lines and tact. This means that the workload and cycle times a feature operation are equalized, so the bottlenecks and overproduction do not occur. Production speed is adjusted to meet the average actual customer demand. By dividing the product into groups, the mix of part manufactured product groups per day can be adjusted to achieve a smooth workload. This is called heijunka.

Some of the measures primarily aimed at increasing productivity can be found in tools such as fivers, and autonomous maintenance five phase is about maintaining order, maintaining cleanliness and conducting regular inspections increase efficiency. Autonomous maintenance is when the operators takes care of their machinery in an organized way, for higher reliability. Kaizen means continuous improvement. This forms the very foundation of the concept and the tools that are used today and that have been refined over more than 50 years. Of course, the existing tools can be used, but they need to be adapted and individually developed in order to achieve lasting results. Eight to assist in achieving continuous improvement are Kaizen and this is a systematic effort to improve and follow up monitoring and visualization using visual management system.

It is often set that thinking is the most important aspect of lean. If we introduce the methodology in the right way, an understanding for lean is built up in the organization as and when the chosen tools are implemented. However, this requires, among other things, that the introduction includes sufficient training and time for reflection, and gives employees an opportunity to influence their own situation. a learning organization is characterized by a modern and consistent leadership with a long term perspective. leaders who ensure that all standards are met, but simultaneously encouraged their evolution. Another characteristic is ensuring the link concept includes suppliers, customers, as well as support functions and other departments such as product development and the project's department.

Also the existence of common goals throughout your organization to avoid mediocracy And finally, the systematic use of deviations to see problems and achieve improvement. This is the end of the session. Thank you.
