This course begins with a few ground level details of the history of statistical process control, popularly known as SPC, it discusses the difference between different types of variation. You then get introduced to the concept of statistical process control and control chart, you understand the difference between control limits, and specification limits the characteristics of an in control and out of control process and the difference between leading and lagging indicators. You then get into the details of how to select control charts for continuous as well as discrete data. This is what we cover initially before you begin to practically learn how to create control charts on Minitab.
These topics essential to understand the length and breadth of the Minitab tools. Then you begin your journey of learning and creating control charts on Minitab. you first create the IMR chart, then the x bar r chart, the x bar s chart, the NP chart, p chart, C chart and the U chart. You then get an understanding of the benefits of control charts. In a nutshell, you cover 12 sections and 67 plus lectures to effectively learn and create the top seven control charts using Minitab. A quick note if you have not already installed Minitab on your system, no worries.
