Welcome to the final lesson of the course, I'm sure that you've been working hard to think about what you want, develop the goals that are worthy of you and start to change your paradigm. This lesson is what will bring everything together for you, and I've touched on it briefly in other lessons. Here, we're going to focus on the power of faith and belief. When you start to change your thinking patterns and begin to change your paradigm, repeated affirmations will not be effective without faith and belief. As Napoleon Hill says, there's a difference between wishing for a thing and being ready to receive it. No one is ever ready for a thing until he believes he can acquire it.
The state of mind must be belief and not mere hope or wish. This means that if you want your goal to happen, you must believe 100% that it's going to happen. You must develop an expectation that this is what my life is like and nothing will get in my way. How do we change a belief? To get started, I want you to think about your current situation right where you are. Think about If you believe that you're capable of achieving your goals that your best days are ahead of you.
Now, I want you to ask yourself, where did those beliefs come from? And who originated them? Did they come from your friends, your parents, your co workers? Now take one of those negative beliefs that you identified such as money doesn't grow on trees, and write down what you'd like to believe. The new belief might be something like there is an abundance of wealth available to me everywhere I go. What would it take to make this belief a part of who you really are?
Start by creating an affirmation such as I am so happy and grateful now that money comes to me in increasing quantities through multiple sources on a continuous basis. That's another one I learned from Bob Proctor. And now Repeat this affirmation frequently and be sure to get emotionally involved with the idea. Then when you find yourself feeling like you never have any money or fearful of losing money, pause for a moment and ask yourself question, what feeling do I actually want? No one would say they want to feel scared or desperate. yet because of the way they're programmed through their paradigm, they continue to recreate the old habit patterns of feeling like there is lack and limitation.
So begin to affirm what you do want. I am so happy and grateful. Now that money comes to me in increasing quantities through multiple sources on a continuous basis. The key to making this all work is to combine it with the appropriate action. I'm not saying that if you desire money to go out and buy a lottery ticket each week, I'm saying that you need to take action by doing the things that can help you get what you want. Things like meditating, reading something that teaches you how to invest your money, or attending seminars that teach you how to grow your money, how I turned my expectation into a reality, one of my favorite activities is called acting as if.
What this means is that you act as if you already have what you desire, that you behave as the person you want to be. Be and live as if you are living the life of your dreams. The beauty of this activity is that even if you don't presently have those things you want, you can create them in your mind. Napoleon Hill also said, Remember, no more effort is required to aim high in life to demand abundance and prosperity than is required to accept misery and poverty. So think big, dream big dreams. Do what everyone says you can't create the picture in your mind and act as if you have what you want.
Let me share a personal story about the power of faith and belief with you. It goes hand in hand with the act as if technique I remember when I first started to use the act as if technique I felt incredibly silly. I would sit in my car, put my hands on the wheel and imagine myself driving my mom's body. Eventually I found a sound clip of a Mazda rod he's starting his engine and accelerating. I would drive my car around everywhere listening to that sound clip and pretend that I was driving my brain new Mazda rotti. Until one day, my dream had become a reality.
There I was, it was on my 26th birthday. And I was now behind the wheel of an actual Mazda rotti revving the engine and hearing the sounds I had been playing in my car for months on end. Long story short, the experience of driving the real thing was 100 times better than what I had imagined. But I never would have been there without imagining it in the first place. I never would have been there had I not believed I could drive one and had I not had the faith that it would manifest in my life. When you start to use the act as if technique and blend it with the power and emotion of faith and belief, anything is possible.
You just need to believe it.
