The final video of this section has to do with what happens when you're asked to shoot from the end zone. Now, hopefully this won't happen often. But when it does happen, it's usually a coach. And he wants to see the way his players are blocking at the line of scrimmage. So we're going to position ourselves in the end zone. And we can't be in the middle of the end zone, because that's where the goalposts are.
And if we do happen to get elevation, we can't be centered, because then we'll be through the goalposts. So depending on whether you're high or low, you might have to be off to the side of the goalposts or you could be directly below them if you're on the ground. And when you're shooting from the end zone, you're doing it differently than when you're shooting it from above. Coaches Who asked you to film from the end zone are mostly doing so because they want to see the blocking on the line. So when you are framing your shot, you're going to frame from tight end to tight end You do not need to include all the wide receivers, you can certainly start wide like we talked about in pre snap, you can establish all 22 players on the field. And then you can push in and you want to get from one tight end to the other anybody on the line of scrimmage, who might be blocking Who we should include in the shot.
When the play goes off, we want to smoothly pan left and right to follow the action. We don't want to be too quick because we'll lose it a lot faster. And if defensive ends are running perhaps around the edges to try to sack the quarterback and they extend beyond the right and left side of your shot, you can widen out a little bit. The goal again, is to keep everybody in the shot. It's not so much for following the game like you're doing when you're at the 50 yard line. This is for blocking.
So keep that in mind. So what happens then when you have to film the scoreboard or other things that we talked about? Well, I would still recommend shooting the scoreboard it does give someone watching a reference point, you could film an occasional penalty if it affects where the next team is starting from if it's a big penalty versus a small one. Anything else that you feel is necessary to communicate What's going on? I would say shoot it per the rules we've discussed in previous sections. But mostly we're following the line.
And that's really all you have to know keep the linemen in the shot at all times. You smooth camera merch with camera work and you should be good To go when you're asked to shoot from the end zone
