Congratulations, you have made it to the end of the course, in this course, you've come a long ways. At the start, we introduced you to the minimal syntactical elements of JavaScript. And you've learned from there, you've learned to use functions and objects and arrays, you have a great grounding in JavaScript. And you can continue from this point on. So what are your next steps? Here are some suggestions of what your next step should be.
First off, I would recommend doing a lot of JavaScript projects and exercises. This will help you get used to JavaScript, it'll help you understand JavaScript better. And if you're doing the right kind of projects, you can use these projects as part of your resume. They could be projects that you show to a future employer. So I think that's an important next step. Then you should begin learning advanced JavaScript techniques.
This course is covered the fundamentals in a lot of detail. But the best JavaScript programmers out there, understand advanced JavaScript techniques, they know how to use the language in very powerful ways. So that would be the next step at all things JavaScript, we have advanced JavaScript courses that we will make available. There are also other resources that you can get ahold of to learn some of these advanced JavaScript techniques. Now I have put together list of what I feel are some of the advanced topics within JavaScript. Now as you can see from this list, some of these topics you have already started to learn as a part of this Getting Started course.
But you can use this list as you begin to delve into those more advanced topics in JavaScript look to expand your knowledge in the areas shown here. Then I think you're ready and prepared to learn many of the JavaScript libraries and frameworks. You should probably focus on those that you see yourself using the most, you should undoubtedly learn jQuery. That's an important library to be familiar with. And these JavaScript libraries and frameworks you can learn while you're learning the advanced JavaScript techniques. Some of those advanced JavaScript techniques help you understand the libraries and frameworks.
There are so many libraries and frameworks out there, and it just depends what area you want to delve into. Once again, at all things JavaScript we will be doing courses in many of the popular libraries and frameworks as well. Finally, continue to be a student of the language take time each week to learn something new about the JavaScript language, subscribe to the All Things JavaScript YouTube channel, where every week there is a new topic about JavaScript, find some of the more popular JavaScript blogs. Become a student of the language, don't stop learning about it, that I believe will do as much at helping you become a crack JavaScript programmer, as will doing numerous projects and exercises. So these are the next four steps. Once again, I congratulate you on completing this course.
And best of luck in the future with your JavaScript endeavors.
