I am going to teach you now how to answer the question. Tell me about yourself. I'm going to share with you my executive summary, my summary of qualification. And here you can see all of the buzzwords that I use to describe myself as a professional. Now, you took the course you already did your executive summary, and you have it ready in your CV is the first thing right after the header. Then Then it describes, you know, how many years of experience how many people you manage how much of a budget maybe you've managed or prestigious clients or companies that you work for.
You're going to have your expertise not necessarily titles in there, and any you know, outstanding academic degree, any procedures university that you attended, the languages that you speak and the places you live. This is you in the in a nutshell, in a very executive form, with itself. high level description of you. This is what you say when people ask you, would you please tell me about yourself? This is how you answer that question. You don't tell them about your past.
Don't tell them about your nationality. You don't tell them about your hobbies, you just tell them your summary of qualification. And you have to learn this by heart. You have to learn this, because sometimes you won't have your CV your resume right in front of your eyes, so that you can peek and have you know the answers for them. You really need to learn this by heart and it takes about one minute to talk about your skills at a high level, and then you get into the details after later in the conversation. But in the beginning, this is all you give them.
Okay. So the first thing I would say is, you know, I'm an HR professional if I'm talking about myself, so I'm not going to give titles I'm going to give expertise. I'm an HR professional I focus on career transitions, and international recruitment strategies. I am also a public speaker and author and a career coach. I help my clients with NLP technique. I'm also a networking specialist.
So here you go. You use the word specialist, you use the word expertise. You use the word experienced or seasoned because you're not afraid of being who you are, please don't tone it down. Okay. So I consider myself to be a networking specialist. I concentrate mainly on Women's Professional Development and on personal branding techniques.
And I have experienced recruiting for companies in the tech industry such as Facebook Salesforce gap. And so I've worked in the private and the nonprofit sector. I worked for the United Nations for many years and I managed about 10 people. So this is kind of a nice casual way of putting in. So you mentioned some prestigious claims companies, you mentioned how many people that you worked with or managed, even if they were interns, it's important to mention that. And so I have a solid international background, I lived in all these different countries, and I speak all these different languages.
And and this is me, right, I'm available to travel, you know, on the 25% basis, and I could start as early as you know, next month or in three months from now, it's important to also give people your know your notice period. So this is you and in a one minute, really quick, you know, sort of elevator pitch, just keywords buzzwords, stay at the at the, you know, abstract at the high level, don't go into details and specifics. You will dive into that later in the conversation. So if you're having a phone conversation and they ask you this question, always In your, your, your CV your resume, and look at it quickly so that you mentioned the right words to describe yourself. And ideally, these words should also appear in the job description. So make sure that you have those words matching there.
So if I show you, for example, my LinkedIn profile, I'm going to share this with you right now. Let me see. One second. Yeah, there you go. So this is my summary. If you see it on your screen now, this is how my LinkedIn profile looks like.
So I have here my, my description, my executive summary that I've pasted here, and this is, this is what I expect you to do as well. Okay. So I think this this looks pretty good. I described myself I am a career coach and a networking wizard. I train people to promote themselves effectively to advance their career goals. You can describe yourself in other cool ways.
You don't have to just you know, write down your title, you can be pretty creative. So have a look around and just look at what people are writing on their LinkedIn so that you can get some inspiration. Okay. So I hope this was helpful. And I'll see you around. Thank you.
