Hey guys, and welcome back to the low poly mini planet tutorial. So in the last lesson, we learned how to create these mini trees that you see here. And I've gone ahead and created a few more minutes just to make it a little bit more interesting. We've got a few more green trees here and a few white snowy trees at the bottom. Once you're happy with your low poly mini planet, what we're going to do first of all before we render is create some quick lighting for our scene. And the way we do that is we go over to this button here.
So it's called add floor object, but we're not going to add a flow, we're going to hold a left click on the mouse button, and we're going to select Physical Sky. And what that'll do is I'll add some quick lighting for our scene. And we can easily manipulate this lighting here by going to time and location. And then just sort of clicking the left mouse buttons here to figure out a nice life. Thing set up for for low poly planet. Another way that we can manipulate the the actual lighting here is by going to the Rotate tool, making sure Physical Sky selected and then just sort of rotating the Physical Sky like so.
So I can sort of make it so that the the light is coming from the top right of the scene. And now once you've got the Physical Sky, all ready and done with You're now ready to set up your, your render. Now to do that, let's go over to edit Render Settings, click on that. And here we've got a bunch of settings that you'll want to change depending on what you want the the image created for so you can change the width and the height of your image and the resolution. Going over to save we can change the destination the file name of Our image. So let's name this many planets.
You can save it to whatever you prefer here, I'm just going to select the PNG. I'm going to select the alpha channel here so that I can use it for my illustration projects. And then the next thing you want to do is you want to go over to effect and you want to select ambient occlusion and global illumination from this menu here. Now I've actually got these selected already. So they're appearing here, but for you guys, you'll need to select it from this menu, and then just make sure that they're selected over here. Once you've done that, close that window, and then hit on the render to picture view button.
And what that'll do is that will create a render for your mini tunnel, like so. So with that we've come to the end of the low poly planet course. I hope for that in a lot from the demos, some new tips and tricks that we've used along the way in completing this particular piece. Once you get familiar with the process, I really encourage you to experiment using the different tools in cinema 4d. I have a lot of fun creating this planet. So thanks for watching.
Good luck creating your own low poly planets. And I'll see you next time.
