Okay, just a basic home exercise, you're gonna stand in a natural stance, meaning My feet are shoulder width. And you can sometimes put one foot in front of the other like I just did there. What you're going to do with the palm, it's just a basic palm. Just one hand both hands are relaxed and open. Okay, so kind of what you're doing there, relax to the whole exercise, you're going to push. When you do this feel like you should feel as if you're pushing your hand through water.
I coordinate my breathing and my body together, meaning when I pull back, I'm inhaling. I'm just inhaling through my nose. And when I push, I'm exhaling. Okay, when I was doing those, I was just breathing through my nose, but you can also Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth on that. So I'm going to make my breathing a little louder, just so you can hear it a little demonstration. And notice when my movement stopped, my breathing stops.
Okay. I don't typically breed that loud when I'm doing this, it's, it's a lot more just quiet and smooth. Sort of like the feeling should be like kind of like flowing water, sort of how you should feel like flowing water. You're going to do it with the right hand, do it with the left hand. I you know, you can do it in sets of five sets of 10. That's fine.
I did 10 that last time. The very first time I did it. The principle here though, is that you're just flowing. You need to flow with this palms just get the energy flowing. Just a relaxed flow. You want to feel that flow Something else you're doing too is you want to take out any side to side wavering.
So when you're doing your POM, it should just be a straight move from start to finish, it shouldn't be like, you know, any of this or any craziness or whatever, just pretty much. Okay, your sometimes your hands shake from the energy that flows through. So that's just natural. So sometimes you know, your hands will come up and you'll pull energy. This is kind of like a metaphysic thing here, but you'll pull energy and it'll come into the hands, um, which is fine. But, you know, for this basic exercise, though, we're just focusing on a nice flow.
Think Like a river. You know, your hand can be cheese all around us. It's like in the air. So it's sort of like you're pushing through the air, you can feel the wind comes between air come between your fingertips, you know, you can feel the resistance of the air against your palm. But also, I am like a river. So like my body flows.
So I, I breathe in, and I breathe out, and I can feel that energy flowing through my body and through my hands, just like a river. Okay, that's important. It's just like you're just like a river coming up. Okay, you gonna practice this with the right hand practices with the left hand.
