Welcome to the everyday guide to Photoshop. In this video tutorial, we're going to show you the dragon effect. Here's the before picture and the after. We want to start by clicking Image, Adjustments, brightness and contrast. Select the black slider and make it around 40. Hit OK and then go to Image adjustment and select hue and saturation.
This is where we're going to adjust the color. Now lower the saturation to minus 45 or 50. This should get us in the ballpark. You can add hue to make it yellowish if you want. After you're satisfied, click OK. Go to Image adjustment and select curves. Now, on the curves make three dots on the line.
Make the curve shape like an S. I think you can see what this will be doing right. Okay. Once you're satisfied with the curve, hit OK. Now, back to the lady in question, hold and drag your layer to duplicate it. Now go to Filter, other high pass you can adjust the pixels here. As we've done go to layer blending mode and set as overlay Now lower the opacity you want to give it a more natural look, as we've said before in the previous tutorials zoom in to have a look. Now select your dodge tool.
Brighten the eyes with the Dodge Tool. But be careful not to go too far. We're working with the mid tones here, not the highlights. So it may take a little more fiddling, but you will do it. Select the band too, which will do exactly the opposite. To make things a little darker.
Emphasize the areas you want for contrast, highlight the details. And there you have it. Thanks for watching and congratulations
