Now we're gonna look at how to create a great application for a job basing this off of what we have already learned, and what we know about the best way to address and send a proposal to a client. So we're gonna focus on good English, we're going to make sure that we actually accomplish the job, we're going to make sure that our skills are relevant, we're going to make sure that we acknowledge the job in the proposal, potentially the most important part. So here I am in the search section of Upwork. And I've just searched the video editor. So this is just a standard search that I would have done in the past. And we've got a few different options that Upwork is providing us for video editor.

I like the sound of drone video. budget in the verified they've spent a lot of money they've spent 7000 plus dollars that basically us which is great, and, and they're obviously doing a super low one because they're wanting to test so I like the test ones because it always leads to really good relationships with clients in the future, especially They've spent a high amount on up work. So let's have a look at these guys. So we're gonna read the description, but I'm just gonna scan over it. Cool. So I read over it, I think it's good to see how much they've spent a bit here the hourly rate that they pay the skills and expertise that they think are relevant to this job.

So I think we'll submit a proposal for this job. And I'm gonna expand this one more time. Here's something I really like to do, I like to copy the description. And I like to paste it in my cover letter section, just so I can reference it as I'm typing. So what I'm gonna do now is I'm gonna think of a reply that is relevant to this kind of on the spot, and I'm going to fast forward through it and then we're going to break it down once I finish typing it for you guys. This I think is a really nice application.

I think about a little bit longer. I mean, I could have fine tuned a little bit. But for the purpose of best, I think we'll break this down and see what's good, and maybe what could be improved as we go forwards. So immediately I acknowledge that I am a fan of drones, which cause straight to their, to their job where it's a job about drone footage to make a drone video for them. I've been talking about that. I'm a professional drone pilot, as well as an experienced cameraman and edit editor.

So just to reference my skill set a little bit more to give me a bit of credibility, lots of Upwork freelancers like dare bombard this cover letter with their experience, what they can do, that they treat it like it's a CV, or a resume. That's what your profile is for. And if they're interested, that's going to go straight to your profile. I think the cover letter condensed to what you can do for this particular job is your chance to speak directly to the clients. I then asked a question about their job, and even if you don't have a question about the job, I'll try and think of one, it just makes it look like you're already engaging and you're already thinking of ideas to improve it. So just think of any questions on this relevant than that, then that's totally fine.

I think adding a question in that is always great. So as we're reviewing this, we always look for spelling errors. I then address a second point from their descriptions, a music isn't a problem where they speak about music, I say it's their problem. And I have the answer for that question about music. So I have a huge library of stock music. And then I say that even if you don't like the first choice, I can send over some different samples.

Again, what we're trying to do is we're just trying to be as direct to their job description as possible. And we just want to completely break down their job description and just answer it just basically pretend your questions and answer those questions. I then address that final point of that 48 hour turnaround time and I just say 40 hour turnaround time is no problem. And that's exactly how I would I would say the only thing that I would do differently is I would include some links to some drone videos that I've made in the past even though it's you know, I'm not filming the footage, I'm only stitching it together, I would still include it just to show the fact that I am comfortable editing drone footage.
