Hello, welcome to Section four of the course. And in this section we're going to be talking about making a plan. So before we dive into that, let's have a little bit of a review. So in Section two, we created a vision. So we stopped, had a macro look at what it is that we want to achieve. Then in Section three, we assess the roadblocks.
We saw and analyze what could potentially stop us from being able to achieve these outcomes that we'd like to from our life. If any of the roadblocks made the vision, unattainable, then we went back to that section Q and those outcomes re created new outcomes reassess the roadblocks and then now we're here at Section four, where we'll be breaking everything down and creating a detailed plan. But let's not forget, section one connecting within. So not only within this section, but all of the previous sections and hopefully, for time to come in the future. You'll always be taking some time to connect within to checking in with yourself, seeing what feels right for you. disconnecting from what is the way that things are just generally done and instead checking with yourself and seeing what would feel most right for you.
So especially in this stage, where we're going to be creating the detailed plan is super important. So make sure that you're not forgetting about that connection within part of the process. So for this section, it is mandatory You have with you creativity, open mindedness and courage. So creativity to be able to come up with innovative ways to be able to achieve what you're looking to achieve open mindedness, again, to be able to come up with ideas and be open to ideas that might potentially help you achieve exactly what you're looking to achieve. And the courage to be able to strive for, for big goals and big dreams and and to be able to dream big in general and to strive for that. So let's have a look at how we're going to be breaking down these outcomes into tangible specific steps.
So we're going to work one outcome at a time. So the workbook it you'll have to print it for as many or work through it for as many outcomes as you had originally. In Section two, so if you have four outcomes, then you'll go through the workbook four times, you'll be working through this process for each outcome. So the first thing we'll do is determine possible determine possible ways to achieve this outcome. This is where the creativity and the open mindedness comes in. You're really just trying to come up with as many ways possible as you can to achieve this goal.
This outcoming so if the outcome was originally, let's say to move abroad, so how so what were the hurdles? And now what are potential ways that you can do that? Do you want to be moving to China to be an English teacher? Do you want to be doing a six month stint? living and working in a community in Nepal? Are you looking to move to the other side of the country and complete relocate, we're starting to get more detailed about what exactly that means.
So in step two, it was fine that we kept that at a at a higher level of I want to move abroad. But now we're really trying to break that down to see what that really means. But to start off, we're making a list. What are the possibilities? Well, how could we do this? What might that look like?
From there, we'll choose the most viable option for ourselves. So in the content section of this course, and then again in the workbook, I'll break down a few different techniques you can use to better assess what the best option for you is. But like I just talked about in the two slides ago. This is you should be listening to yourself listening to your heart, listening to your soul, listening to what feels right for you. And then from there Once we are clear about what it is we're going to do, we write out the specific goal. So we're going to write out our specific goal, making sure that the goal is a SMART goal.
I have no doubt that a lot of people know about what a SMART goal is. But in this course, the each one of the letters has more criterias to be met than the standard SMART goals tend to have. So make sure you have a look at the content, read through what a gold needs to have to be able to be a SMART goal to make sure that you're really being detailed about how you define what it is you want. And then from there, we create action plans, both a right now action plan and a short term action plan. So we the areas where people move often fail with taking action to achieve what they want you in the short in the short run. So doing the things today doing the things tomorrow, what do you need to do next week and the week after that?
So that's why it's so important to really break down how are you going to start doing this today? What do you need to start doing today and tomorrow to be able to achieve that goal. So, for you'll be doing, like I already mentioned, you'll be doing all of those steps for each one of the outcomes that you had originally set in section two of this course. And then, similarly to what I had told you in Section two, dream big, strive for greatness. Strive to make your goals, huge and hard to reach. Because like Michelangelo says the greater danger For most of us isn't that our aim is too high and miss it, but it's too low and we reach it.
And then finally, just one last quote by Don Lancaster, most impossible, most impossible. goals can be met simply by breaking them down into bite sized chunks, writing them down, believing them and then going full speed ahead as if they were routine. So take his word for it, and do exactly that with your goals. break them down, break them down into manageable chunks, write them down, believe in them and strive for them take action to pursue them. And so that is all for today's section, the video of this section. So make sure you have a thorough read of the content in the PDF and then take your time to work through the work.
Book for each one of the outcomes. Good luck, and I'll see you in the next section.
