Hello everyone, its class number five of our course empower yourself today and make your life a heaven. And I'm Gus keel and I want to welcome you to class number five. Today we are going to be looking at another personal power that you have within yourself. And we're getting to the end of our six class course here. And I hope that you are working with one of the powers even if you just choose one of them and decide to start there and begin to practice that bring it forward in your life and see what it begins to bring forward for you. See how it really begins to impact your life.

How does it assist you, to manifest to realize to live from that heaven inside yourself. And maybe personal power is part of your heaven. Maybe you've said, you know, that's one of my keys is personal power. You know, these personal powers are just the ones that I really wanted to focus on. And yet there are many more that you have inside of yourself. And as you begin to open more to what heaven is for you the inner experience of that, that you can carry around with you all day long, 20 477 days a week, 365 days out of the year.

The powers I'm hoping are going to be keys for you remember in the journal that you might have ordered keys to make my life a heaven. I do list the keys that I put in the back of the book, and yet, I'm talking about them as powers in this course. And they're in there definitely could be more So, I'm hoping that you are applying these, whatever way that works for you. Okay? Well let's let me share my screen here and let's get started. Let's put it in.

Let's put it in full screen there we go. You know I love this image so much empower yourself today make your life a heaven, these these lights that are emanating from, I'm going to call it a lotus, whatever you want to call it. I just love this image. It's, it really is speaks so clearly into what this process is all about as we open, you know, the power of who we are, is very much like this radiance that begins to permeate. Our whole life. So that's why I picked it.

All right, personal power, unmasking fear. Yes, this is class number five, there's so much that I can say about fear and how to work with it, and how I work with it and how I teach it in the mysteries in the mystery School, which is also a wisdom school. And so I'm sure I'm going to leave something out. And our lesson today, our class today, and yet, there'll be more opportunities if you want to, really, if this is something you really want to clear in your life and you know, it's a limitation and you know, it's holding you back. And you know, you're really tired of being jerked around in your life from fear. We're going to do our best today to begin this process for you and and there'll be an opportunity to do more when I talk about next steps at the end of this course.

Okay, unmasking fear, but let's start With our light attunement. I just read an incredible article about how scientists or realizing that at the now these are going to be my words. I'm not a scientist at the very teeny tiniest part of our, our brain cells are light. I just had to laugh. Okay. So, once again, I hope you quieted your environment, maybe have a glass of water, close the door, if you're somewhere not in your home.

I hope you're somewhere that's quiet for this about 30 minutes that we do this class. So here we go. It's convenient for you Please close your eyes. So you minimize distraction and begin to focus inwardly. The breath is a good way to do that. As you inhale, and you exhale.

You just let go the world for a few moments. Clear the mind, quiet the body and the nervous system. Come into that place. Perhaps now you consider it your Heaven, inner most dwelling of the essence of who you are. So we're going to bring in that column of light which is also the essence of who you are right down through the center of your body and connecting it from the top of your head to source. Whatever you call source, breathing it down through the physical body into the center of the earth.

Now I'm doing this quickly, but it can happen actually. In a twinkling of an eye So one of the keys is we want to get really good at just calling in that light, embodying it, feeling it in our physical body. And then seeing it around our body 360 degrees below our feet above our head just in an instant. We can visualize that. See it since it feel it, but however you are in this process is just funny. Today, I'd like you to place one of your hands on your heart center, and one of your hands right around your gut, your belly button area.

Actually, we call this the basic self and in the wisdom school, we work with the basic self. But right now I just like you to hold your hands there. Imagine that there's a ball of light Underneath both of your hands, one of your heart and one in your gut. Just for a moment, breathe, and just imagine those balls of light. They can be small like a baseball or a tennis ball. It can be large like a basketball.

However you imagine them. You'd like to place a color in that light to go ahead. Ask yourself, what color do I need today. And just be aware of whatever you're experiencing, visualizing these balls of light in your physical form and you can release your hands and if there's a color that came forward, just now run that color throughout your whole body. down your arms into your fingertips, down your legs into your toes, up and down your spine, all through your organs, all through your brain. muscles, bones.

See every cell lit up with that color. Just be aware of what you experience. Good. Now when you're ready, you can open your eyes. And as usual, I'm gonna drink some water. Water grounds me again, because I can get out there okay, So let me do this for a moment.

All right, let me say a few words about fear before I get into talking about the approach that I use in the wisdom school. And in this course, there is complex. So when we want to work with fear and a new way, we will when we want to move beyond the limitation that fear has created for us. We really need to know that there are different that we need to know the complexities of what fear is. The first thing I want to talk about is our autonomic nervous system is wired for fight or flight. And this came from many centuries ago, thousands of years ago when we needed to escape from things that could eat us, so that is wired in our autonomic nervous system, and quite honestly, it's a good thing.

Because anytime we are in a situation where we are threatened, like, I go to England, and I always, you know, on the ground, it will say look right, look left, because we're so used to as Americans not looking in the same way that the English did, right. And a couple of times I have stepped off that curve at the wrong time. And someone has grabbed me and pulled me back. And the experience in my body has been total fear, right. So those kinds of situations, that response inside our body really, really serves us. But the thing about that response is it does not know the difference between stepping out a curb onto an ongoing coming bus or a car.

Running up against a fear that we felt as a child, because something was going on in the family, that we got strong messages that we were not to do or go near. It does not know the difference. So the fear response that we have around and I'm going to, we're going to talk about what those irrational fears are, is the same response. So that's the first thing we need to know is No, I am not in danger. I may have felt in danger when I was a child because of what was going on. But no, I'm not in danger.

I'm not about to be hit by a bus. And I'm not about to be eaten. So that's really important. And that's one of the big things that we want to work with when we are wanting to free ourselves from a lot of these fears that have us very tightly constricted in our life. So I call it unmasking fear. So let's take a look at the book for a moment.

Let me go back to my screen here. Okay, so let's go to chapter nine. I have two chapters in my book about fear, actually, in the limitation I have the masks of fear and in the liberation, I have walking with fear. So in the mask of fear, chapter nine, I talk about the very common masks of fear Now, why do we mask fear? Well, because when we were small, we found out that fear was not okay. We were ridiculed.

We were shunned. We were laughed at. We felt too vulnerable. We we were judged because of our fear, we saw others this happened to others. You know, maybe a classmate was laughed at maybe A family member was shunned or shamed because they had fear. So we learned very early on in this culture, that fear is not okay.

So we mask it, and we mask it from ourself. And that's one of the problems. So here are the common mask anger, denial, control, distractions, addictions, depression, and anxiety. Yeah, maybe you've never thought that your depression might be masking fear, or that your control might be masking fear. So let's take a look at page. Well, in page 73, I talked about first of all my story of one of the stories that I found out when I was hiking and backpacking, about fear, you can read that and also I talked about our Earth To conceal fear and why that's why we do that.

And also also the drama of denial, one of the things that starts to happen in our life when we are not looking at our fear, we're not allowing ourselves to get in touch with fear is we have a lot of drama in our life. And the drama is there, really, because there's a lot of drama going on inside that we are not looking at. We're in denial about it, we want to conceal it, we want to distract ourselves. You know, we want to numb ourself out probably with some kind of addiction. And we want to maybe say, Oh, well, I run a lot of anxiety. Well, all anxiety is fear.

So this is one of the really big steps that we must do. We must start with unmasking fear. And the chapter that I have in chapter nine talks about the symptoms of that. So if you're reading that, you might want to say, Oh, yeah, that's what I do. That's, that's how I'm asked. We're again, we Look at this with no judgment.

But let's keep going. Because in the liberation part of my book, I talk about how to walk with fear. Now, in the way that I work with fear in the wisdom school and the way that I've taught it for many, many years, and the way that I found myself to be liberated from is to realize that fear is actually masking our personal power. Isn't that interesting? Pretty much, everybody. I tell that to, you know, their eyes get really big and they go Really?

Yes, it is true. So let's, let's talk a little bit more about fear because like I said, Remember, fear is complex. So once we take off the mask of fear, or maybe we say, Okay, this denial that I've been running, and I take that message Ask off and I'm going to have the courage inside myself to take a look at what is that fear masking? Well, on page 117, I talk about the laws that we live under fear becomes law very, very quickly. Why is that? Well, if you look on page 116, I talked about why it becomes law.

The second paragraph, we respond instinctually and for good reason, we have been well conditioned. Our conditioning began at a very early age with warnings like, Don't play with an extra neighbors because they are not like us, or threats. Don't upset your parents or you'll be in trouble. expectations. You better get good grades on your report card. And it continues over decades or two with advice like commercials by this deodorant.

So girls feel like you are this perfume, because boys will be attracted to you. admonitions like, Well what self respecting person would have such a dinghy for or dirty windows or laundry that's not pristine. And injunctions don't break up the family, you made your bed now you lie in it. I happened to be one of the ones in my family. So because these fears come with such strong experiences and energy behind it, we decide it's a law. It's not just a fear, it's a law, I will not do this, I will always do that.

So we really get into this black white thinking this really extreme thinking, I will not do that. And I will always do that. So if you look on page 117, you're going to see what I call the 10 commandments of fear and the beliefs that go with them. Now, that's another thing that makes laws very fears very complex is that fears have beliefs. Okay? So let's say let's take the one of trust.

You know, we have a belief that, well, if I trust somebody if I trust myself, What if I am led astray? What if I'm fooled? What if I make a mistake? If I trust somebody else? What if they let me down? What if I'm disappointed?

What if they rip me off? Yeah. See these fears come with beliefs. So the belief is, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I believe that trust is not a good thing. Okay, so one of the things that we begin to clear when we work with this in the wisdom school is we begin to unearth the beliefs that go along with the fears. So we can clear the beliefs but if you just take a look at what laws do you live under on page 117, you might just want to scan the list and go Okay, that one, that one, that one and that one.

Usually there's more than one. And then consider the beliefs on the right. Now sometimes people look when I'm teaching this and they're going through this experience, they go, Well, that's not exactly what my belief is, Well, okay, then you can substitute your own. But one of the big ones that I work with, with people that have big dreams, big visions, is number seven, Thou shalt not follow the passion, because I'll be abandoned. You know, in a lot of our families, it was not okay to follow passion, to follow our creativity to color outside the lines to not, you know, do a step in line or the status quo. And so a lot of times, one of the ways that we were controlled not to do that is you know, We were abandoned.

Now, were we left out on the street? No, but we were abandoned emotionally. We were somehow rejected in the family, you know, the family was over here and we were over there. I know a lot of you have that experience. It's commonly called the, you know, I was the black sheep of the family kind of thing. Okay.

So that's, this is a chart that I would really love for you to spend some time with. And take a look. First, the masks, how do you mask fear? Take off a mask, then take a look at what is the commandment? What what fear have I turned into law, and then maybe also list, you know, the beliefs that are associated with that. Okay, but there's another step.

Like I said, there is this is a complex subject, the way that I work with fear in a wisdom school, the way I teach it, and the way that I have cleared many fears in my life. And move beyond them is I work with fear as a messenger. Now what I have pictured here is an angel. Angel is a messenger. What if fear is a messenger? And what if the fear is saying to you, you're not on the wrong track, you're on the right track.

You know, many times in our life when we are wanting to uplevel our life in some way, go for our big dream, our big vision, fear comes up it will every time. We don't ever get rid of fear, but we begin to work with it in a new way. So instead of having a fight or flight response, we go Oh, come on in. What is the personal power that I am not claiming? Because I am more focused on you and decided that Oh, if fear shows up, well, must not be right. I must, you know, need to go in another time.

Direction, and then we deny it and then things stop working. We wonder why we sabotage, we wonder why we distract ourselves. We wonder why we don't ever sit down to start writing that book that we've always wanted to write. Or we wonder why we didn't pick up the phone and call that person to make an appointment. Yeah. That's the kind of limitations that fear creates.

So, if fear is a messenger, like an angel, what I'd like you to imagine right now, is that you walk up to your fear. And maybe you want to pause this recording right now and get clear on what fear you want to work with. But after you've done that, what if you walk up to that fear like an angel, and instead of fleeing or denying it, you pass beyond the gate and beyond the gate is a power that you have not claim. So let's just do that in our creative imagination right now. So we walk up to the fear, we walk up to the angel, who's standing there? We acknowledge that, yes, this is a fear of mine.

Let's just pick fear of failure. And yet, if you're a messenger, you're telling me that if I pass beyond you, if I pass through the gate, on the other side, is a personal power. So the gate opens and I walk through the gate, and I stand there for a moment. What is the personal power that I have not claimed? And what I get is courage. That I had great courage.

I have used my courage over and over and over in my life, to take risks to move beyond a fear of failure into something more than I wanted in my life. So that's the personal power is courage. Okay. So if you did that with me, and you got a personal power, please write that down. And then spend some time journal writing. What would your life How would your life be different if you began to live your life from courage rather than a fear of failure?

Yeah, what would you do? How would you speak? What would you look like? What would you begin to move into in your life? Again, this is a very quick process. That I teach in the wisdom school in a more complex way.

But this is a taste of what I want you to begin to realize about fear. Fear is telling you it's a message that says, You're on the right track. Keep going. Now turning run, just see. Oh, okay. So the other part of this slide here, one was the laws of grace.

Well, let's, I mean, the laws of fear, but let's look at the blessings of grace. And that's on page 124. So in other words, when we begin to move out of the law, we move into grace. And there's a chart here that talks about the blessings of grace. So one of the reasons that we want to begin to walk with fear work with fear and fear A different way, along with moving out of limitation in the way that is holding you back is also to step into grace. Yes.

The grace of our life. You know, when I, let's just take the fear of failure and courage. When I begin to live my life from courage, then I experience all kinds of blessings that begin to show up, and little ways and big ways. And that is grace. Because I'm not allowed. I'm not constricted anymore.

I'm not constricted anymore into fear. I've expanded into courage. My heart has expanded. And I'm working with myself in a new way along with knowing that there is fear present. Okay, Again, fear is complex. But this is one of the personal powers that you have.

And I hope you will come back and listen to this recording again, and maybe do a little part and then maybe a little more, maybe a little more, and listen to this several times. So you begin to get the bigger picture of how to walk with fear, and yet also experience grace and blessings in your life. So, this is your practice, what is the personal power that you are claiming and what is the message? So if you go up to that fear, you go beyond the fear and you claim a new personal power, what is the message of that personal power? Very important. Here's our last slide in our quote for this course, whatever you can do, or dream you can begin it.
