Okay, please stand up where you are and close your eyes and just absorb how awesome you feel since you started this program. Note how you were feeling and thinking differently now compared to how you were feeling and thinking before you started this program. Note all of the great stuff you've learned and are using to stay on track with your goals. Next, I'd like to to physically open your eyes and look over your shoulder behind you. Imagine a slightly younger version of yourself standing there and looking back at you the younger version of you that was ready and willing to explore quitting tobacco for good, but hadn't quite done it yet. Focus your thoughts on all the great things you've done to get from there to here and acknowledge yourself for doing such a great job in this practice of living into your best self, and your best life, and being so open and vulnerable in the process.
Give yourself a giant pat on the back and experience that gratitude and acknowledgement. How did that feel? When you look back at when you started at your slightly younger self? What have you learned along the way? What are the amazing things about this journey that you've experienced? For those of you that haven't quite hit their goals yet to quit?
That's okay. There were likely things you've learned along the way. Perhaps you are more mindful of your smoking. Perhaps you have reduced your smoking and will quit soon. Perhaps you are filling out all the details of your personalized quit plan. So You are super ready when it happens.
And you will review that and start to quit again. Whatever you have accomplished needs to be celebrated. Small steps in the right direction are key. So I'm curious, what's next for you? Is it staying on track as a nonsmoker? That's a given.
And you've got all the tools and tactics right here to succeed. But perhaps you're on the verge of something else, something really cool. Or reassessing your goals to quit and setting up your environment for inevitable success. This is your new baseline. And it's not the end. And in fact, I want you to think about this new place of achievement as a launchpad for bigger and better things.
This is where things really start to get interesting. And the effects of taking care of yourself will spill over into every area of your life. Today is the commemorative day and even though you may be excited for whatever comes Next for you in your health journey, it's important to have closure on what you've just accomplished as well. Being as healthy as you can happens in a progression, building on top of a solid foundation, like where you are now, to catapult to the next level, we need to deal in the changes that made the difference in the first place. Let's do an empowering ritual next to seal in all of that greatness that now go in goes into your new way of being and your relationship to your health and quality of life. Next, go ahead and jot down all of the empowering lessons or realizations or a horse that you want to take with you from this program moving forward.
Here are just a few examples. Make sure you write down that you are not going to judge you're just going to be curious about what happens. So no judgement, just curiosity. I will pay attention to my personalized quick plan or I'm being more mindful of my tobacco use. We'll focus on what I get to do instead of what I don't get to do. I manage stress in a much healthier way without the smoking.
Log these lessons on your personalized quit plan in the space provided.
